Endoscopy is a non surgical procedure performed to examine the alimentary canal. The endoscope is the instrument used for endoscopy which consists of a flexible tube attached with a camera and light to view the digestive tract. It can be viewed real time on a monitor.

Upper Endoscopy: Endoscope is inserted into the mouth and then passes through the esophagus and then the stomach in order to view the lining of all these parts including upper portion of small intestine.
Colonoscopy: Endoscope is inserted in to the anus to view the rectum, colon and remaining large intestine.
ERCP: Also known as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography, this type of endoscopy enables images of pancreas and gallbladder to be taken. One can also use this procedure for placing stents and doing biopsy.
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS): In this procedure, endoscopy is performed along with ultrasound to get an image of the inner digestive tract
